44, of Middletown, passed away on October 16, 2013 at Newport Hospital.

Victoria was the beloved wife of Gary E. Libby, Jr. She was the daughter of William H. Clay and the late Eva Faith Clay, and the stepdaughter of Beverly M. Clay. Victoria was a lifelong resident of Aquidneck Island. She worked as an optician for LensCrafters and BJ's Optical. She was actively involved in the Healing Co-Operative Women's Cancer Support Center in Middletown.

Tory enjoyed beading and designing jewelry and sold her unique works at local craft fairs. Always a cat lover, Tory cherished her 3 cats, Graymalk, Drusilla and Zoe. At the rehab center, where Tory was confined during her last months, Graymalk would sit on her lap and soak up the love. Tory was an amazing cook, treating her family to specialties like pumpkin waffles and always bringing a dish for family gatherings. With humor and affection she would observe her stepmoms' cooking utensils and the next time show up with the perfect addition to her kitchen.

Tory was an avid fan of cult TV shows like Justified and Fringe and was ever ready to recommend the next great show for her friends to get hooked on. Aunt Tory was a favorite of her nieces and nephews, surprising them with that special gift picked out just for them or planning an afternoon activity with just her and them. Last year, when her father-in-law was battling cancer, she spent countless hours advocating for him, arranging and driving him to his appointments or quietly slipping away to his house to enjoy watching football with him. Tory will be remembered for her sense of humor and dry wit, her kind and giving heart, her strength and determination to fight her illness and her beautiful generous spirit. She will be sorely missed.

Victoria is survived by her husband Gary E. Libby, Jr., father and stepmother William H. Clay and Beverly M. Clay, brothers and sisters Bethanie Clay Ericsson, Bonnie MacRitchie, Daniel MacRitchie and Dana Clay, mother-in-law Ann J. Libby, and sister-in-law Holly Libby Mello.

Victoria is predeceased by her mother Eva Faith Clay and father-in-law Gary E. Libby, Sr.

A celebration of her life will be held in a few weeks with her family and friends.
