59, passed away on Thursday, November 14 after a long battle with Leukemia, surrounded by his loving family. He was the Beloved Husband of Drucella (Waite)Wheeler. Born in Collins Mississippi, He was the son of Sarah Wheeler of New Orleans and late Mack Wheeler.
Leeroy was employed at several Race Tracks up and down the East Coast and Chaffee Industrial Roofing in East Providence.
Besides his wife Drucella, he is survived by his three children, Christopher Shaw of Newport, Tiffany Waite and Frankie Waite, Both of Providence, two sisters Ruby Wheeler of New Orleans and, Reba Ruffin of Central Falls. Seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Walter Wheeler.
Leeroy enjoyed horse races, sports but LOVED spending time with his dog pepe; and his family at cook outs and family gatherings, nothing made him happier than family. He Smile and laugh will be sadly missed.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 11am till 1pm followed by a service in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private
