Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of Josette (Belgiorno) Remillard and the late Raymond A. Remillard.
Alan had been employed in the property and management portion by Churchill & Banks of Providence for over 25 years. He also served the State of RI as a Sheriff for over 15 years
He was a member and past secretary of the Blue Knights RI1, and member of the Gold Wing Association. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a son, Mathew A. Remillard, a daughter, Rebecca Remillard, a grandson, Cole Hunter, two brothers, David Remillard and his wife Karon of Ohio, and Brian Remillard and his wife Renee of Cumberland, a sister, Christine Stoll and her husband Paul of Tennessee, his paternal grandmother, Simone Remillard of Woonsocket, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, fellow officers and co-riders.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7pm followed by a prayer service at 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
