Born in Sao Antao, Cabo Verde, a daughter of the late Augusto and Aurora Lima.
She is survived by four sons, Benvindo Lima and his wife Maria, Daniel D. Lima and his wife Veronica, Antoine Lima Marques and wife Jessira, Jean-Louis DoCouto, a daughter, Martine Silva, her longtime companion, Jose Silva, siblings, Judith Lima, Irene L. Murray, Ines Lima de Ramos, Manuel Lima, Noemia Lima, Gabriela Bordier, Albertina Ramos, Filomena Coelho, Cesarina Loche, Leonor Lima, Pauline Kayayan, Gertrude Lima, Joana Lima, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfredo J. Lima and Maria F. Lima.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. A funeral service will be held Saturday in Mount Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope St, Providence at 10am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd, East Providence, RI 02914.
